Cal’s Alex Mack wins Draddy Trophy

California all-American center for the Bears football team Alex Mack has been named the 19th recipient of the Draddy Trophy.
The trophy is awarded to the individual who demonstrates academic success, football performance and community leadership.
With the award, Mack has earned a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship. He has already graduated magna cum laude with a 3.61 gpa and a bachelor’s degree in legal studies.
The 2008 Pacific-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for football, Mack is pursuing a master’s degree in education.
