Spokesman.com | Blogs | SportsLink | WSU quarterback decides to transfer.
J.T. Levenseller is reported to be transferring from Washington State. It sounds as though the sophomore QB really wants to play sooner rather than later.
“He’s going to transfer,” Wulff said. “The bottom line is he’s looking to play now and have an opportunity to contribute.” – Paul Wulff, WSU head football coach.

I guess living in Pullman leaves little else to do than, well, take visits to the police station.

Cougars | WSU’s Tony Bennett will take Virginia job | Seattle Times Newspaper.
Washington State University Director of Athletics Jim Sterk confirmed Cougar’s men’s basketball coach will be leaving the program to coach at Virginia . According to the confirmed report the University of Virginia asked WSU’s permission for speak with Bennett last Friday.
In his first two seasons with Washington State Bennett’s teams made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and then to the Sweet 16 the following year and compiled an impressive 52-17 record during that time. This season, however, the Cougars fell to 16-13 and lost in the first round of the NIT.
He was a hot commodity at the end of last season and had turned down jobs at Indiana, Marquette and LSU. Bennett had five years left on his current contract, so I’m figuring he left WSU while the gettin’ was good.

Quarterfinals recap:
Arizona State 68, Arizona 56
The battle in the desert proved victorious for Arizona State as the Sun Devils knocked Arizona out of the Pac-10 tournament with a 68-56 win. Pac-10 player of the year James Harden led the charge with 27 points and eight rebounds.
Jordan Hill had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Wild Cats.
The Arizona loss could very well have burst their bubble and end the longest active streak of NCAA Tournament appearances. The ‘Cats have been to the Tournament 24 consecutive years; second all-time behind the 27-year streak by North Carolina from 1975-2001.
Washington 85, Stanford 73
Jon Brockman dropped 20 as Washington completed their 3-game sweep of Stanford this season to help the Huskies move into the semifinal round. The Cardinal’s 35% field goal shooting certainly didn’t help them any.
USC 79, Cal 75
From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer USC never trailed Cal as they beat the Bears 79-75.
Taj Gibson had a double-double for the Trojans with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
UCLA 64, Washington State 53
Darren Collison was ready to play and scored 15 points on the Bruins’ way to beating Washington State.
The Cougars really struggled in the first half shooting only 7 of 34 from the field.
