calAccording the BearTalk Cal head coach Jeff Tedford says he’ll open up the starting QB competition for the upcoming Emerald Bowl. I’m wondering if this is Tedford’s way of pushing QB Kevin Riley if he wants to be the started for next season.

oregon-stJaquizz Rodgers didn’t get to play the last seven quarters of the regular season due to an injured shoulder. Now, it’s starting to look more than likely he won’t play the next four quarters. Quizz said on a local radio show on Tuesday that he did, in fact, break a bone (scapula) in his shoulder.

But there’s more – third string running back Jeremy Francis has left the team indefinitely to tend to his ailing mother.

oregoncalBoth Nick Reed (Oregon) and Alex Mack (Cal) have won the Morris Trophy, which is given to the top offensive and defensive lineman. The really cool thing about this trophy is that it is voted on by opposing lineman.

uscIt looks as though 75% of Trojans fans really want to see QB Mark Sanchez back for his senior season. He does have a very tough decision ahead of him to make.
