oregonHighly rated high school quarterback Tajh Boyd (6′ 1″, 210 lbs.) has Ohio St. and Oregon as his top two colleges of choice. Oregon? Don’t they have enough quarterbacks? And, in case you’re unaware, Boyd has had knee troubles—is Oregon the place to be for him with knee troubles?

uscUSC running back C.J. Gable may leave for the NFL at season’s end. Gable says he’s still considering his options and will give it more thought once the Rose Bowl is over and done with.

Oregon makes scholarship offer to class of 2010 RB

oregonThe Oregon Ducks have certainly been looking ahead at their future.

In the middle of recruiting for the class of 2009, Oregon took time to look ahead to the class of 2010.

According to Sporting News the Ducks made an offer to North Broward Prep (Coconut Creek, FL.) junior RB Ethan Grant. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound running threat was offered a scholarship by Oregon.

“It was a shocker, to be honest,” Grant told Sporting News Today. “There’s a guy who runs a recruiting website, and he kept telling me Oregon likes me. He made a highlight tape of me and sent it to Oregon and Oregon fell in love with it. So that’s how it went down.”

The Ducks are the only school to make an offer so far, but they probably won’t be the only school to do so. Several schools have contacted Grant including: Georgia Tech, West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, UCLA and Boston College.

North Broward Prep ended the 2008 season with a record of 10-2 and a loss to Gulliver Prep in the Regional Semi-Finals.
